Clicking on the screenshot will take you to the mines website but before you go here is some history on how the site was designed. The owner Keith was one of my first customers in Ireland after I emigrated here from Australia. He has a great wee business running a tourist mine near Oughterard in Co Galway and has spent a lot of time branding his business which is no mean feat for someone more used to farming and physical work.So the logo and fonts/ colours dictated how I went about this design, as in all my designs it is bespoke that is to say it is not a template that you may come across dozens of websites that look identical apart from the content, but one of a kind. The site is also responsive so it looks good on both large screens and mobile phones. The links to Keiths Facebook, Email and Trip advisor are Sticky that is they stay in the one position at the side of the page when it is scrolled when it is viewed on the bigger version of the site and buttons on the mobile version.
It is important to have really good quality photos for your website and Keith employed a photographer to take shots a few years ago and I took more recent photos myself, I did photography as part of an Art course in Glasgow a long long time ago, before digital cameras but I have a good eye for a photo and good software for image manipulation on my computer.A lot of my customers especially those with new start businesses, start and unfortunately fold within a couple of seasons, sometimes they come with the false illusion that a website will miraculously see their business bloom but this is not the case. If you want to make the online side of your business a success be prepared for a lot of hard work. Nowadays Social Media plays a huge part in marketing and the upkeep of Facebook, Instagram, Blogs, Twitter and numerous others takes a lot of time to update with fresh interesting posts that will see you build a following. Just ask Keith. If you like the look of this website please give me a call to see how I can help you with your online presence.
Gabriel of Aran Goat's Cheese will introduce you to his herd of goats and take you through the process of making his award winning product before sampling and experiencing the range for yourself. His beautiful Nubian and Saanen goats graze on the unique pastures of the Aran Island. I had total free reign with this website and it took less than a week to complete, the goats were a good photographic subject and I love visiting Inis Mór. The company logo already existed so I based my colour pallet around it and the owner was already actively using social media for his business.
I got my customer Fahy O Connor Windows and Doors to register www.windowsgalway.ie as their domain name for search engine optimization reasons as the competition for Google results in this business field is very tough. At Fahy & O'Connor uPVC, we provide you with a range of high quality, stylish windows and doors fitted to your needs. Our products and services comply with all of the industry standards. We are renowned for the quality of our installations, with most of our work coming from recommendations from satisfied customers.Kathleen and her family are long term customers of mine and I met them when I had my own windows and doors replaced in my house, the business relationship goes on with a few improvements to the site booked for later this month.
CLPrint is a local to me print company who used to have a very outdated site that contained next to no meaningful content. I spent a lot of time on this site due partially to it being in Irish as well as English more than doubling the amount of work required.
