Some information on the Kilronan Youth Hostel Website
Clicking on the screenshot will take you to the Kilronan Youth Hostel but before you go here is some history on how the site was designed.I took some time taking the photos for this website on Inís Mor the largest of the Aran Islands and used the Slider at the top of the page as my inspiration. It is very important to have the important stuff like contact details above the “fold” (In the top third of the page) so I concentrated on this.
If you like the feel of this website give me a call Rob on 0871615645 to discuss your online presence
The website has an online embedded booking form hosted by Gomio which is an added expense for the customer but obviously being so busy the hostel needs a method of taking bookings and money over the internet and using a third party option like this one is by far the easiest way to do it.For websites that need a method of collecting data like email addresses and telephone numbers I use a program called Simfatic to make a form which sends the info to the website owners email address. This is then embedded into the website to match the other pages, forms can be as detailed as you like but it has been found that faced with a huge form with unnecessary fields to fill in a browser will just go elsewhere, so the best method is keep it short when it comes to forms.Google focusses more and more with each new algorithm on website content (text) so having heaps of interesting, relevant text will make it a lot easier to make the first page of results and considering the second page has a footfall of less than a half it is important to get on that first page.
Gabriel of Aran Goat's Cheese will introduce you to his herd of goats and take you through the process of making his award winning product before sampling and experiencing the range for yourself. His beautiful Nubian and Saanen goats graze on the unique pastures of the Aran Island. I had total free reign with this website and it took less than a week to complete, the goats were a good photographic subject and I love visiting Inis Mór. The company logo already existed so I based my colour pallet around it and the owner was already actively using social media for his business.
I got my customer Fahy O Connor Windows and Doors to register www.windowsgalway.ie as their domain name for search engine optimization reasons as the competition for Google results in this business field is very tough. At Fahy & O'Connor uPVC, we provide you with a range of high quality, stylish windows and doors fitted to your needs. Our products and services comply with all of the industry standards. We are renowned for the quality of our installations, with most of our work coming from recommendations from satisfied customers.Kathleen and her family are long term customers of mine and I met them when I had my own windows and doors replaced in my house, the business relationship goes on with a few improvements to the site booked for later this month.
CLPrint is a local to me print company who used to have a very outdated site that contained next to no meaningful content. I spent a lot of time on this site due partially to it being in Irish as well as English more than doubling the amount of work required.
